Illegal Aliens March
from the mind of  Duke.

122_2248
I got there early, and the marchers hadn't arrived yet.

122_2249
The moonbats couldn't let a demonstration go on without tagging along. No sir!

122_2250
This was the only major group of counter-protesters.

122_2254
Enforce the law? How dare they!

122_2253
Ah, some pleasant reading material to pass the time.

122_2256
But I don't want to be in a union. And I'm friends with my boss. We go drinking!

122_2257
Wouldn't be a Seattle demonstration without an appearance by this little gem.

122_2258

122_2259
Ah, the good old days!

122_2261
Here comes the march.

If I expressed the same sentiment, I'd be a racist.

122_2267
And another.

Swing and a miss!

And why did they have to drag poor Spongebob into this?

122_2275
Ah, I thought it was about time for old Che to make an appearance.

122_2276
And giant paper mache heads, of course!

122_2277
Lots of signs along these lines.

Old physics joke:

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?

A: Whether the chicken crossed the road or the road crossed the chicken depends on your frame of reference.

But I somehow doubt these folks wanted to have a discussion of Einstein's theories.

Most of the flags on display were American, but there were still no shortage of these.

Hi Duke,

Sorry I couldn't join you. I would have, if I hadn't been teaching.

Here are some random thoughts:

First: doesn't it seem sadly self-defeating and racist for illegals, and the liberals who love them, to consistantly portray illegals as being lifelong fruit-pickers and landscapers? I mean, legal immigrants come to this country to become citizens, obtain an education, and work hard to prosper. The message these folks seem to be sending is: "I'm gonna come here illegally, resist assimilation, and remain perpetually in poverty."

Second: I have no problem with picking my own apples; or paying more for legal citizens to do it for me. And do these folks really believe that the threat of an unmowed lawn will change my mind? That I will suddenly endorse the importation of poverty and crime?

Third: Native Americans are immigrants too; they just won the foot race across the land bridge.

Fourth: It seems they figured out that all the Mexican flags didn't make them any friends in the "undecided" camp.

Anyway, great pics. Wish I could have been there.

I love how conservatives love to remake the definitiono f 'racism' to 'whatever-the-hell-they-want-it-to-mean' Its not racists if THE ILLEGALS THEMSELVES are the ones describinb theire positions. If THEY are saying that they are fruit pickers, does that mean they are being racist against themselves (and entirely idiotic concept that only a neocon could come up with).

Ever since the conservative lost their pro segregation battles in the 60s, they have been doing their best to rework history and what their past to de-emphasize their racist origins. Try again pal.

Try again? It's as easy as googling 'democrats' and 'segregation' and then clicking on the first link which brings a reader to a wikipedia article that clearly details how the democratic party, up through the 60's, was responsible for segregation laws.

And, yes, if I were to say that I and all of the other 'white boys' were just good at desk jobs and not worth beans doing manual labor, that would be a racist comment. Any time we generalize a group of people by ethnic traits in a way to limit or demean them, that is malicious racism. Chris Rock is probably one of the best examples. Without comics perpetuating the use of the N word on stage, the word would probably be completely dead.

So, good sir, why don't you try again.
